Police Scotland confirms on-duty death of officer

A POLICE officer has died after collapsing while attending an emergency call-out. The 55-year-old officer died after he took ill when he was called out to an incident in Newhouse, North Lanarkshire on Monday night. He collapsed while attending the call at the Travel Inn on Edinburgh Road around 11.40pm.
