A NUMBER of fundraising activities have been taking place for Care of Police Survivors.

Sue Brace, President of COPS, and Sandra Jones, Chair of the Fundraising Committee, attended a Cleveland Police Federation dinner on Saturday 15 February, where more than £1,600 was raised for the charity. Sue and Sandra described it as a “fantastic night”. Click here for more on fundraising events.

The following day, PC Medwyn Lewis from North Wales Police arranged a Football Trophy Challenge, which raised £800 and is still raising money. Footballers from North Wales Police, Greater Manchester Police and the North Wales Dragons took part in the event at Eirias Park, in Colwyn Bay, with a win for GMP.

On the same day, down in Sussex, several energetic COPS supporters took part in the Brighton Half Marathon.

Sandra and the team have expressed their gratitude to all those have helped with fundraising efforts.

“There continues to be a lot of fundraising activities being planned and supported,” she said. “A big thank you to all those who continue to support us, as without fundraising we are not able to provide the weekends and support that the charity is able to offer.”

If you have some spare time and are interested in helping out with fundraising activities in the future, please contact Sandra atsandra.jones@ukcops.org.
