CARE of Police Survivors is looking for a new events and communications administrator who is willing to “roll up their sleeves and get stuck in” to the charity’s work.

The new COPS employee will be the first point of contact for all public enquiries about the charity, and will be responsible for helping to organise its events.

COPS says it wants an “enthusiastic” and “well-organised” person who is keen to get involved in all aspects of the charity’s work.

The job is based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, for an initial 12-month contract. The new administrator will work 20 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work required.

COPS is looking for someone who already has experience of volunteer organisations and organising events, or who has been a volunteer themselves.

The charity says the right person for the job will be able to show empathy with its beneficiaries and will be happy working in a very small team, as well as being IT-savvy and understanding different ways to communicate with beneficiaries.

For a full job description, email sarah.williams@ukcops.org. To apply, forward your CV with a covering letter explaining how you meet the person specification to richard.kotulecki@ukcops.org.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Tuesday 16 June.
