A MAGNIFICENT £7,000 was raised for COPS by chief officers and guests at the annual ACPO dinner.

A raffle and an auction helped bump up the donations at the event in Northampton.

The money was also raised with the generous support of a number of commercial sponsors.

Pictured at the event from left right are COPS chairman Mick Foster, founder Christine Fulton, Sir Peter Fahy, Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, COPS patron Sir Keith Povey, COPS president Sue Brace and Sir Hugh Orde, president of ACPO.

Sir Peter organised the function in aid of the charity following the support it gave the force following the death of PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes in 2012.

“In a moment of need COPS was there for us”, Sir Peter told guests.
